Hugh Reilly Real Estate

I rented a property managed by Hugh Reilly Real Estate for more than three years, and unfortunately, my experience at the end of the tenancy was extremely disappointing. After vacating the property, I was presented with numerous charges that I felt were unnecessary, and eventually all of my bond money was taken. What was most frustrating was being charged $150 for a key that I had already returned. Despite following up several times with Wendy Chatto, the property manager, I never received a refund. Each time I contacted her, there seemed to be a different excuse. Throughout the process, I found Wendy's communication to be rude and unhelpful. When I requested receipts and supporting evidence for the repair costs being claimed against my bond, I did not receive the transparency I expected. It felt as though the bond was being used to carry out extensive repairs and upgrades to an old property rather than addressing genuine tenant-caused issues. The entire experience left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. After repeatedly chasing the matter without any resolution, I eventually gave up. As a long-term tenant of more than three years, I expected a much fairer and more professional approach. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Hugh Reilly Real Estate.

Wendy chatto is doing stuff illegally according to the RTA. Charging rent after the keys are handed back and illegally evicting someone after issueing only 1 breach which was rectified before I received the breach. No communication between them and the owner who I had made arrangements with, will not take calls, and just hang up when you explain to them there in the wrong. I have everything in writing and screenshots and everything to verify your doing it all illegally.

We have been renting with Hugh Reilly realestate for almost 6 years. Wendy and her team have been the most amazing realeste i have ever been with. They are always responsive and they make you feel welcome not just another number on the books. They helped me navigate all the stress of moving due to the sale of the rental we were in with professionalism and empathy. We are extremely sad to be relocating and leaving the care of the hugh Rielly team.

We rented through Hugh Reilly for 12 months and have previously rented through them before. Wendy has excellent communication, took all our maintenance requests seriously and was always lovely to deal with. I would highly recommend Hugh Reilly Real Estate.
