After owning rental properties for 30 years I'd have to say this is THE worst property management we have had. We have long term Tenants in our property that have not caused us issues. From accounts, lovely people that take good care of the place. In the 4 months we were with TRE our rental payments were all over the place, frequently getting less than what was expected and in arrears. The property manager leading me to believe that our tenants were at fault! It took multiple conversation with the property manager before she obtained the rental ledger from our previous property manager, (trying to see why this problem had only begun with TRE management and what had been happening with previous managers). Property manager took her time gaining this ledger, raising it at least 3 times before obtaining it. Then merely sent it to me with limited explanation. After we realised that this situation was more than a coincidence (property manager and not our tenants) and asking for a copy of their rental ledger from TRE and all associated correspondence to the tenants, property manager admitted that afternoon that they had 'found unallocated funds' in their bank account. Despite my continued complaints about late and incomplete rental payments, the issue was ultimately traced to unallocated funds in their bank account, which had apparently been sitting there for months. Our money! The tenants not at fault! Unbelievable incompetence! To add insult to injury, after what I considered to be a breach of their obligations under our rental management contract they had (a generous) 48hrs to hand over to our new property manager. Which they failed to do. By ...days...apparently they were busy ...smh. Had it not been for our tenacious, competent and supportive NEW property manager (Katelyn - LJ Hooker Tamworth) that pursued this changeover, I can only speculate how long this circus may have dragged on. To top it off communications were rarely timely, landlord statements issued lacking sufficient rent with no explanation or courtesy call to explain why our rent was missing, and a lax approach to attending to repairs made for 4 months of hell and stress! Avoid this agency at all costs!
