0/5 STAY AWAY!! Without question, the worst rental experience we've ever had...and by far the worst customer service Ive ever encountered. Cockroaches. A black rat in the kitchen. A terrible smell throughout the apartment. Leftover food. Filthy bathrooms and kitchen. A disgusting freezer. A dirty balcony with a used pair of underwear and a used toilet paper roll left behind by previous guests. It was absolutely disgusting. I was in the area working as a subcontractor, so what should have been a simple, hassle-free stay turned into an unnecessary source of stress that distracted me from the work I was there to do. What shocked us even more was Harcourts' response. Instead of treating this as the serious hygiene issue it clearly was, we were told this was their "standard cleaning." If this truly reflects their cleaning standards, prospective guests deserve to know. The worst part wasn't even the condition of the apartmen. It was the complete lack of urgency and accountability. We reported everything immediately, yet it took four days for a cleaner to be sent. She was a lovely girl who stayed for no more than 15 minutes and simply did what she had been instructed to do... essentially a quick clean of the bins and freezer. She even agreed that the apartment was in a very poor condition, but there was little she could do within the scope of what she had been asked to do. After everything we experienced, we requested reasonable compensation for the unacceptable conditions and the stress caused. That request was simply ignored. I NO RESPONSE, no meaningful follow-up, no resolution, and eventually had to ask the company that had hired me to assist in dealing with Harcourts and help recover part of the money to compensate for what I went through. No guest should have to spend their time documenting cockroaches, rats, foul smells, leftover food, and unhygienic conditions instead of enjoying their accommodation or focusing on work. I've stayed in countless rentals over the years, and nothing has come close to this experience. We would never book through Harcourts again and strongly recommend that others look elsewhere if they expect even the most basic standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and customer care.

We had a really positive experience from start to finish. He was always friendly, approachable, and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. Communication was always clear, and he genuinely made us feel valued as tenants. Josh made the renting process smooth and stress free, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about both the properties he manages and the people living in them. We really appreciated his professionalism and support throughout our tenancy and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and supportive property manager.

PSA:DO NOT RENT 3 Mayworth Avenue, Port Macquarie. The false advertising on this current rental is setting you up for disappointment unless you enjoy an unsafe and the opposite of family friendly. Not 'relaxed'. 'All it has to offer'; the cheerful sounds of Domestic Abuse coming from the neighbours and other creatures that enter the street (bonus points if it's aimed at you) You'll notice that most neighbours don't park their cars on the street... The landlord is aware of the situation and is happy with increased rent. If you move into this property you'll become friendly with police, spend time and money on security equipment, smell illicit substances regularly if you thought you would get fresh air from opening windows, amongst many other delightful experiences!!!

The routine inspections are conducted in a respectful and well-organized manner as well, and we truly appreciate their professional approach and tenant care.
