The property was listed for rent and for sale at the same time, and we were ultimately “rejected” as applicants, only to later see it marked as sold. That context would have made a big difference, and not being upfront about it made the whole process feel misleading from the start. We applied and were asked almost immediately to provide extra financial documents, which we sent through straight away. It was clear we were in a position to afford it, so we felt confident things were progressing. After that, communication stopped completely. We waited weeks with no updates, then suddenly received a rejection email with no real explanation. Finding out afterwards that the property had been sold made it feel like we were led on and our time was wasted. I understand that situations change and not every application is successful, but clearer communication and transparency would have gone a long way here. Being asked for detailed personal information and then effectively ghosted, only to later piece together what actually happened, is frustrating and unprofessional. Would not recommend based on this experience or Hannah.
