Applied for rental property on 23rd February and after my relocation manager had to chase and chase for even a basic response, it was clear that Metrocity had no idea what was going on with the application. One minute it was with the owner to next minute the property is being listed for inspections again - all while we are told "it is with the owner". Fast forward to 12 March some 18 DAYS after applying they told us we didn't get it. If I was the owner, I would be asking what they are actually paying your team for if you do not even know what is going on with the property - the very same property you were in charge of finding a tenant for. Either that or you were deliberately disingenuous and had no intention of accepting our application. After raising the lack of communication/update from the firm, they decided to blame the busy market. I note, however, that other realty agents responded within 72 hours of application. Every realtor/listing is busy so to use this generic excuse is not valid. I'll be advising friends/contacts moving over to Brisbane to avoid any listings by this firm. It is one thing to wait an excessive amount of time with mixed messaging but also for them to accept no responsibility for the lack of care/transparency and overall professional service is another. Absolutely shambolic.
