Being located away from the house we were selling, the most important thing for us was feeling comfortable and at ease with our agent. This was the case with Richard. Having complete trust and leaving everything in his hands meant we were able to be totally hands off and comfortable that our sale was being handled professionally and with care.

Melissa is a 10/10 real estate agent! Melissa is a 10/10 real estate agent. We purchased a property through Melissa and she sold another property for us within a month in a very tough Bridport market. She was professional, efficient, worked overtime and went above and beyond to ensure both processes were seamless and hassle free. We were impressed by her negotiation skills and the way in which she communicated with us. She is a kind, honest and caring person and if you want an easy, fun and fast process she is the agent you need!

Hello all, I’m not usually one to make reviews like this, but this situation is beyond a joke and I don’t want anybody else to have to deal with what I’ve had to deal with. For a year I held a tenancy at 16 Ernest Street, Kings Meadows. At the time I was accepted for the property I was extremely desperate and had no other options. The property was not satisfactory to be handed over in the condition it was. For starters, the backyard grass was knee height. There were three wooden cabinets left behind by the previous tenant, which I disposed of in my own time and at my own expense. Looking back now, I shouldn’t have done that — this should have been taken care of before my lease even started, along with many other issues. The house was supposedly “professionally cleaned” prior to handover, but it absolutely was not. I had to clean a large portion of the house myself before I could even move my belongings in. The carpets are very old, stretched, and coming apart in places. I was told they had been cleaned, yet the house stunk strongly of dog and was full of dog hair throughout. The plumbing under the kitchen sink overflows and floods the cupboard every time it’s used. I was also told the shed would “slightly” leak during heavy rain. In reality, during winter the storeroom and flat area of the shed would be ankle-deep in water that smelled of sewage. There is also a hole in the garage floor containing raw sewage with no proper cover. The kitchen floor sits directly above the garage and has no insulation at all. Even with the wood heater absolutely cranking in winter, there was no way to keep the house warm. There is a retaining wall at the back of the driveway that is dangerously close to falling due to a massive tree in the neighbour’s yard, which also drops debris straight into the property. I reported this within months of moving in, along with the ongoing sewage and flooding issues in the garage. I reported these problems multiple times. I sent numerous emails to the property manager and received no replies. I also requested copies of my lease and condition reports from inspections, which I never received. I understand it’s an old house and that comes with issues but for $500 per week with raw sewage exposed under the house, this goes far beyond reasonable wear and tear. The garage was completely unusable, and the situation posed a genuine risk to my health. To top it off, there is an unstable alcoholic living next door. According to neighbours, she has had issues with every single tenant who has lived there. She would come out and abuse us for no reason, call the police, and report us to the real estate. On one occasion she threatened me for washing my car in my own driveway. You can regularly hear her screaming abuse at her partner. We are not party people, we all work full time and live quietly. In over six years of renting, I have never experienced such neglect. Now, after all of this, they are attempting to take my bond because I did not have the carpets professionally cleaned. Why should I? The carpets were not clean when I moved in. They stank of dog and were full of dog hair from day one. My health was compromised living in this house, and I have been paying $1,000 a fortnight to live in these conditions. I will not accept being penalised for issues that existed long before I moved in These are just the main issues there are plenty more
