We have no hesitation in recommending Shane Brooks who has sold our special home. He was personable and easy to deal with – open and very professional. He understood our home – its charm, its location and aspect, and where it fits in the market. He understood our preference for him to bring only potential buyers by appointment. He outlined what the process would be – what HE would do and what WE should do. He played his part, and also made sure that we did our bit.

We had a disappointing rental experience dealing with Scarlett, mainly due to communication style and how our end of lease was handled. Communication often felt unnecessarily confrontational, both verbally and in writing. I can appreciate that being a property manager can be a tough role at times, however this shouldn’t come at the expense of tenants who are doing their best — keeping the property tidy, paying rent on time, and maintaining professional and respectful interactions throughout the tenancy. At the end of the lease, we were asked to address very minor items despite leaving the property in very clean condition, including things like removing a cobweb outside and being asked to wipe down an already cleaned surface. This felt excessive. Early in the tenancy, we were contacted about a small chip in the stone benchtop that had reportedly been caused by a previous tenant. The issue was extremely difficult to see — even the tradesperson needed a reference photo and could only detect it by touch. A similar situation occurred with a bathroom vanity, where a small mark was easily removed, yet replacement was still pursued. We were also repeatedly asked about professional carpet cleaning, despite not having pets and understanding that this is not a legal requirement in NSW unless specified in the lease. This added to the overall frustration. Overall, the experience felt overly strict and at times unreasonable, and we would not recommend.

I would recommend Stone Real Estate for buying and selling your property. My purchase was resolved quickly and smoothly. My dealings with Yvette Ward was respectful, professional and she kept me informed during the process.
