Nolan Partners / Lifestyle do the absolute bare minimum during a tenancy, ignore maintenance issues, and pass routine inspections with no noted problems. General communication is entirely hit-or-miss. However, the moment you give notice to leave, they go through the property with a fine-tooth comb and immediately try to push their own in-house cleaners and landscapers onto you without giving tenants a fair chance to source competitive quotes. We spent nearly $100,000 in rent with them over 3 years at 7 Melittas Avenue, and the lack of accountability was highly disappointing: The Roof & Mould: The roof had broken tiles. Instead of repairing the structural damage, they just had it professionally pressure-washed. They then tried to withhold our bond money, claiming we should have cleaned the black mould off the ceilings—mould directly caused by their leaking roof. Flooding: The drainage system was inadequate, constantly flooding the garage during rain events. Appliances: It took them 12 full months to replace a broken dishwasher that was included in our rental price, with no offer of a rent reduction. Property Management: I had to show the property manager (Danielle) photos of the old, busted hot water service because she maintained it was brand new when we moved in. She had clearly not reviewed the actual condition of the appliance. Don't let the big, fancy chandeliers in their office fool you. It’s a premium front for a business that treats long-term tenants with total negligence.
