It provides professional services in real estate, finance and building management to clients in Australia and overseas.

What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Central Sydney Realty draws consistent praise from tenants and owners for the way its team handles leasing, property management and sales across the inner city. A handful of customers describe Ken as trustworthy and helpful, recalling a sale that settled at the expected figure on the second viewing, with his refusal of a bonus commission cited as evidence of his integrity.

Charlene and George are also named, with reviewers repeatedly mentioning how quickly the three of them facilitated a lease agreement and how clear their communication was from first enquiry through to the end of the tenancy. Reliability is a recurring theme: one tenant notes that their property manager offers sound advice whenever repair requests arise, while another recalls a team member responding promptly to help regain access to a home after keys were left behind. Reviewers also value the practical guidance they received, including useful advice and answers to questions about renting near the university precinct and in Acacia Gardens.

The end-of-lease process is described as particularly convenient, with a cleaning company engaged by the agency providing a quote and inspection before keys are returned, leaving the agency to manage the remaining arrangements. Attention to detail and a willingness to go beyond expectations appear throughout the accounts, whether the task is a straightforward lease, a repair request or a residential sale.

I have known Ken from Central Sydney Realty for quite some time. He has acted as both my property manager and my selling agent. I recently listed my property with Ken, and he sold it at my expected price on the second inspection. I was so impressed with his work that I offered him a bonus commission — which he promptly refused. That tells you everything about his integrity. Ken was exceptionally considerate of my family’s needs throughout the process. He was fair to the tenant and the buyer, and he consistently acted with professionalism and honesty. The level of support Ken has provided — and continues to provide — is extraordinary. I would never have received this standard of service from another agency. I cannot recommend Ken enough

Great service. I would definitely recommend this real estate agent! Speak to Ken if you have any issues. Most real estate agents are one sided on the owner side but Ken plays it fair on both owner and tenant.

Edit (response to the business owner's storytelling in their reply): your "sequence of events" simply suggests that other reviewers' comments that Central Sydney Realty are simply liars is true. Since you're so interested in mudding up the truth then I'll just lay out the true "sequence" in a sequential order for you: - Dec 6th, I inspected the property, where I had a length conversation with the first agent. The agent clearly expressed that if I want to secure the unit, I should apply. They'd consider me "easy to talk to", so they prefer applicants/tenants like me. In that inspection, I was one of the two inspectors in that opening. - Dec 7th, Sunday, nothing took place. - Dec 8th, 4:58pm the agent messaged me on WeChat, asking me if I could confirm my interests because there were 3 groups applying, and I topped their preference. 5:12pm I replied that I needed to talk to my current agent and see if my current landlord will renew my current lease contract. - Dec 9th, 2pm I messaged the agent that I was happy to proceeed with this unit as the current landlord would sell his house. I listed 3 properties that were comparable, and negotiated the price from $800/pw to $770/pw. 2:05pm, the agent replied to me that he would talk to the owner and let me know. I instantly replied with gratitude, and told the agent "to express my genuinety and apprecaition, I will not engage other properties and specifically wait for your response. 6:14pm the agent replied, confirming that the owner was willing to lease at $770/pw. - Dec 10th, 2:34am I replied the agent, thanked him and the owner, and told them I was ready to sign the contract at any time. - Dec 10th, 9:44am, the agent's colleague who apparently ran this unit, messaged me, asking for my email and phone number, to send me the deposit that I needed to pay, and the documents I needed to send them. - Dec 10th, 4:02pm, the agent who ran this unit messaged me, and sent the message as shown in the attached photo. So, help me understand this—since I never lodged an application as you posited, how come you: 1. Put me in the pool of the 3 groups of applicant, and topped me in your prefernece? I didn't lodge any application. 2. Went ahead and negotiate the price with the owner for me? I didn't lodge any application. 3. Contacted me, asking for my email and phone number to send the deposit info, and request documents from me? I didn't lodge any application. Since you want to play this card, if you negotiate the price down with the owner without my true application, isn't that some kind of misconduct? I thought you "represent the interest of the owner"? Also you claimed that someone secured the unit by agreeing to $850/pw whilst the unit was listed at $800/pw. Really? In this season? Are you sure you didn't exploit the disconnect between applicants and owners? ============ Below is the original review =============== I had a very negative experience with this agency. One of their agents verbally told me my application for a unit in Waterloo was approved. A managing agent then contacted me on WeChat asking for my email and phone number so they could send me the lease and deposit payment link. After I sent my details, I received nothing for the rest of the day. I did not apply for other properties because I was waiting for their contract and deposit link. Late in the afternoon, the managing agent finally messaged me saying they had rented the unit to someone else who, according to them, offered $850 per week (the property was originally listed at $800, and I had negotiated $770). When I called to ask what happened, I was told they had to “act in the interest of the landlord” and that they had done nothing wrong. I was clearly taken advantage of, and am disappointed by the way this was handled, especially after being told my application was approved and being asked for my details to finalise the lease. If anyone's considering doing businesses with them, think it through. I treated them with respect, and this is what I get.
