As a landlord, I cannot recommend this agency based on my experience. My primary concern was the lack of consultation on matters that materially affected my property. During the tenancy, permanent infrastructure was installed in locations that have reduced the practical usability of part of the property and will require significant expense to relocate. Despite raising these concerns, the agency declined to accept any responsibility or offer any assistance towards rectification. More concerning was the handling of the end-of-tenancy process. I was notified that the bond had been released before I had been provided with the final inspection photographs and before I had an opportunity to review the property's condition myself. I had to specifically request the photographs afterwards, and additional items were subsequently identified and addressed. I also found there was insufficient follow-through on agreed maintenance requirements during the tenancy and a general lack of proactive oversight of the property. No property management arrangement is perfect, and issues can arise during any tenancy. What matters is how those issues are managed and whether the owner's interests are properly represented. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. For that reason, I would not use this agency again.

I had a very unpleasant experience with McGrath Estate Agents Albury | Wodonga. All applications are made through the online portal, Snug. The application process is very detailed, demanding details as obscure and rarified as the numberplate of your car. The extraordinary lengths one must go to in order to satisfy the requirements of this system took me between 1 and 2 hours to complete. I submitted my application after business hours, and yet this application was rejected the following day within only a few hours of McGrath's opening. As I am attempting to make the move down to Albury from Sydney with my young family, and need to secure accomodation desperately, I contacted McGrath's in order to garner some more information on why they rejected my application almost instantly. Some feedback might mean I can make necessary adjustments and stand a better chance of securing accomodation in future. I thought perhaps they rejected my application based on external factors outside my control. Sadly, when I called to enquire, the representative from the company was entirely unhelpful, essentially telling me that this was the owner's decision, and the agency had absolutely no information as to why the owner rejected my application, or even how that process works. Other agencies I have spoken with in the Albury area have often been quite helpful, even taking time to inspect my application and offer pointers as to what the agency is looking for in an application. Here I was offered nothing at all. When I offered as feedback that Snug was a tedious and overdemanding medium, the representative told me curtly that all properties were applied for through Snug. I suggested that perhaps as feedback it might be noted that it would be easier if the process wasn't so tedious, considering I spent a couple of hours of my time in exchange for an instant rejection. The representative failed to acknowledge my feedback and was very dismissive. I informed her that I was disappointed with this response and would be leaving a negative review. She said goodbye and hung up very unpleasantly. Based on my limited experience with this agency, they are unprofessional and unkind.

I had found McGrath Real Estate Albury very good with service and reporting until a recent experience with a difficult tenant. I was out of pocket as a result of damage not repaired, however, to McGrath's credit and after some negotiations,. we came to an amicable settlement.

I have sent numerous emails to Gabrielle about a property in Thurgoona that we are interested in purchasing. She and the McGrath agents have not replied to any of my enquiries. If I was the seller of this property I would be horrified at her lack of professionalism in chasing up sales leads.

As a young investor, often I am not taken seriously. At an open house, Gabrielle stood on her phone uninterested in speaking to my partner and I. When older couples approached her, Gabrielle got off her phone immediately. I gave my feedback on Real Estate once I had purchased another property. Gabrielle called me in response and was quite defensive. She did not take any responsibility for her discrimination. Even after I gave her multiple examples that she did not deny. I would never consider engaging Gabrielle to sell any of my properties or purchase a property Gabrielle is managing.
